Super nice owner, cool guy. Nice selection, decent prices, clean, aesthetically pleasing.
I love this place. One of the things is the way they treat customers. Most places take all the variant covers as soon as they come in and triple the price. They leave them on the shelf at cover price at least until the next issue hits and even then the mark up is not bad. Always friendly and super helpful. I'm always amazed at how much they know about anything I ask about.
The guys are awesome. Lots of options on comics, card dice and board games, and anything nerd or geek culture related. Staff is super friendly and helpful, know what they're talking about. Lots of space too for the gaming events they have
I've been a customer of theirs since the doors opened. I know the owners and got to watch their kiddos grow up. I witnessed first-hand what awesome people the owners were. A special needs customer was in the store asking Mr. Dave Siegler, one of the business owners, about Donald Duck comic books. David was patient and kind, and spent nearly an hour visiting and showing the guy around. Dave and his wonderful wife Tonya may be running a business, but instead of going for a sale, instead spent some quality time visiting with a fellow comic fan.
The shop is great, with gaming tables in the back. They also carry graphic novels, action figures and gaming supplies. I cannot recommend this business enough.
I'm part of a bi-weekly graphic novel book club and every time I walk in the store I'm reminded why I keep coming back. The staff is friendly and create a wonderful environment, not to mention the fact that they are knowledgeable about comics both as a medium and a historic institution. I can always count on Ground Zero to help me find a wonderful book to read.
