I'm a pretty patient person normally, but the wait here was one of the longest I've dealt with at this point. Hardly anyone was served the whole time I was there, and a majority of the windows were closed. After an hour, it was standing room only. You shouldn't have to take a day off work to make a name change.
i dont know who the lady was i spoke with but she was rude and hung up on me and i dont thankyou for your crappie service i needed help cause i was confused and she wouldnt even listen to me so eat a booger thank you if i knew who your superviser was id call em and tell them u suck
As with all government offices, your experience will depend upon the individual person you speak with. Many employees have been abused by angry people for so long that they've become jaded and burnt out. Some are as angry at "the system" as the general public. One employee, after I said, "Ah, yes, I think I recognize your name," (as I'd spoken with him previously) YELLED at me over the phone "Oh No, Don't You Start That, Just Don't Try, No, Don't, Just Don't..." :-? And the next time I called I spoke with possibly the Most Helpful SSA employee I've EVER dealt with. So, as the saying goes, your mileage may vary. Try to remember the employees, whether naughty or nice, are only human.
Long long long long wait. No estimate on wait time available. Torture, and very cold. Wear a jacket for your unbelievably long wait time. There is nobody available to answers questions. There are 2 kiosks to visit to get a number to begin your long wait time.
These GOVERNMENT Employee s are very accurate and time efficient. Walked in at 9:00 am was out at 9:25
