Great place to spend the day with your family. They offer a wide variety of picnic options: wooded, pavilions , grassy etc... The playground is awesome. The ground is covered with spongy foam material. It makes it safe in case of a fall. They also have great walking and biking trails.
Nice people employed here. Cops definitely do their jobs. Inexpensive. Lots of good activities. My whole family goes there! We have season passes!
What an outstanding Texas Park!
Just an all around lovely place to visit!!! The swimming area is decent enough in the summer...just not a favorite of mine. But the rest of the place? Is an absolutely awesome place to go camping/hiking/canoeing & paddle boating or a long nature walk or bike ride anytime of the year!!!
Theres so much to do here! The camping sites are very spacious. And most camping spots have a great view of the water. The fishing here is outstanding for large mouth bass. You can rent boats, yaks, and paddle boats. There's also plenty of trails to hike. The staff that works the park are outstanding! There's even a cool little gift shop with all kinds of fun stuff for the kids
Probably one of the best taken care of state parks I have scene. Amazing woods, nature, great trails. Clean camping areas. Very nice lake with nice beach area.
