Good food. One of the better bbq joints in Tyler. They also have soft serve for all dinners.
Dickies BBQ is better than its naysayers would have you think so go ahead and try it.
Chopped beef sandwich is the best! Potato salad is delish. Bbq bean nice and sweet. Free ice cream and kids eat free on Sundays. Ever since hickory fare on gentry closed, this has been my place. Friendly staff and cool atmosphere.
Ribs here are tasty with a nice bark on them and a full Smokey flavour. They are a bit grisly/fatty, but still good ribs. Fried okra here is good. BBQ don't taste like BBQ at all, but rather like sugar beans. Not good. Potato salad is mediocre at best.
Today 10/19/17 was my second time here at this location and I have to say this is a great place I would recommend to eat. The staff are extremely amazing. It really makes you feel comfortable.
No ribs, so I order two tacos and me being overweight I thought it was rude the cook had to inform me that the tacos were small. I have been to several Dicky's so I knew what I was ordering but when I the tacos they were not good. Cold un-cooked tortilla and these cheese was not melted. It was a total fail as far as good service and good food was concerned. I will not return to this one.
