This is a great place for an overnight or a few nights where you will be out and about in Tyler. It was perfect for our needs and we will stay there next time we are in Tyler.
Horrible place. Owner is a foreigner, rude, hateful, and impersonal. The price and pictures on the website are false. I wish I could post the real pictures. Lots of old mildew coverd trailers with appliances outside, interior furniture outside, some are covered with tarps and have window units hanging out. Long term residents are drunks, theives, and liars. The owner let's them do as they please and run off other guest. The park is surrounded by Hispanics on 3 sides who party every weekend with loud music and drinking. There is a water tower across the street with a strobe light that flashes all night every night. There is absolutely nothing to do at this park, the wifi doesn't work, the trails are non existent, the pond is full of sewage runoff, the showers are moldy, the office is always vacant, and the grass is full of stickers, ants, and is rarely mowed.
Great for our purposes!
Not sure what other reviewers saw, but I saw different. No trees, sites were lined up really close. Most of the park is plain earth. when it rains it puddles deep. There are quite a few full time residents with "stuff" outside giving the place an unkempt appearance. Owner seemed nice enough, but the area is very low income and shabby. it's just not such an attractive place they crack it up to be. We moved on.
There was some road noise during the day - but not at night. We found that the noise description on their website was accurate.
We stayed there for an overnight to get work done on our trailer in Tyler the next day. Nice place... very nice washroom and well kept... the only complaint is that the OWNER raised the price$10.. website says $28.... with Passport America discount that is $14 for the night.... we made reservations online on his website..... when we got there he raised our price to $19..... he said that he raised prices but just hasn't had time to change on website...... In my opinion you shouldn't charge more until you post it..... I'm willing to bet it is a ploy to get you there.... then he changes price once he finds out you are a PA member....
We spent 3 nights at 5-Star and it was perfect for our purposes. We were out and about from 7:30am until 10:00pm. We called on our way into camp, briefly met the owner, setup camp and left for the beginning of our event.
manger was rude. he didn't care if he rented lot spaces or not. he is very strict and has lots of rules but there are not a lot of people here.
The owner is a very nice man and lives on the premises as do his adult children. He confirmed how many nights we were staying and said that we would settle up before we left. We had full hookups including cable. Everything went very smoothly for us. They honor all RV discount programs. There are not many trees at the pads but a few places where shade might be available - we didn't ask the owner. But, he was out watering new trees so tree shade might change.
