I went to this MD to get a refill on some ADHD medicine.I had been diagnosed with ADHD at age 2,and at 18 I was transferred here from ETMC.

I promptly responded that my mental health was not what I was paying them for and though I got little help for where I could go to acquire the information I needed, I was still charged in full.

I asked about acquiring one and then I was interrogated about my mental health and then rudely sent away empty handed.

Have been a consistent patient of Dr. Short for almost 6 years. My husband also now sees her regularly. She is personable, informative, and thorough. We highly recommend her!

If you are young and healthy with no issues she may be ok. I am a hard working nurse at 61 years old and could not even get a pain relief medication of Celebrex that helped me in the past. The medicine Mobic she prescribed was not effective and she Would Not consider anything else. I spoke with her nurse asking for her to consider Celebrex and she told me that they won't give Vicodin. Not once did I ask or ever expect Vicodin. I have never been treated with such disrespect.

I was denied a refill because apparently I had never had an assessment and at 18, I had no idea how or where to get one.

So I was totally completely outraged and disgusted how my brother, a marine veteran, was treated in the clinic by Dr. Alexander and his nurse today. He accidentally reinjured (original injury from serving) one of his feet at work and was referred to him from workmans comp. After being accused of trying to play the system, when we were trying to use our own insurance in the first place but had to follow work orders will now be disregarding this referral anyhow since you can't help him anyway! I pray that you reconsider how you treat people without looking at their paperwork or knowing the back story behind the injury bc this young man fought for your freedoms to be a doctor. It's a shame you're still in business!

I went to Dr. Short's office for a routine illness. Needless, to say I paid my co-pay and was able to see Dr. Short. She didn't shake my hand because she said that I looked like I had "cooties." I then explained my symptoms and asked her about possible testing. She stated that there was no need for testing. She then said that she was going to put me on antibiotics and walked out. She didn't tell me what kind? or what her diagnosis was? Just left. I was at the office because I had real concerns about my health.

During the visit she kept referring to me as "kiddo" not sir or Mr. but "kiddo." I then asked her office for an excuse for work. She provided me an excuse for that same day. Needless to say I took off 4 days total of work for a possible bacterial infection and what I felt was bronchitis. My work then asked me for the letter. I provided the letter and they requested more detail from Dr. Short's office. I went back on 3 separate occasions and Dr. Short's nurse came out to tell me that there policy is to only provide a one day excuse from work. They stated that I would have had to have a fever to come back in and get another excuse for any additional days off. When I requested to speak directly to Dr. Short the staff kept treating me like I was a nuisance rather than a paying client. Then Dr. Short peaked out of the door. I proceeded to ask her to give me 30 seconds of her time she frowned as if though I was completely out of line for requesting to speak with her. She stated that she would not sign for me to be excused from work for more than the day that I came to the office. That this was policy and then closed the door on me. Forgive me for saying this but, why do doctor's feel like they can look down on people? I'm a paying customer with insurance. I have a job and all I was looking for was some empathy and help. I will never return to this office and can only recommend that you seek another general practice. She was out of line when it came to the way she treated me. People must be treated with respect, kindness and love. This office treated me like another number with a $$ dollar sign attached to it.
