Worth the $6 to get in, they maintain it well
Water has about 9-14 foot visibility, swimming area is always nice and a great place to take your family. No loud music blaring, no worries of stepping on broken glass, used needles, or being around intoxicated people. Every time I've gone it's been a great experience. Canoe and Paddle Boat rentals, fishing (bait shop) and a fairly decently well kept bathhouse/shower area (indoors). It's 6 dollars per adult (12 and under are free) and that money is used to maintain the park (hiking/biking trails, tent camping and cabin rentals, state park police patrol officers). Top notch state park, very pleasant and helpful park rangers.
