Found Terry to be a little rude for my taste and I guess they only take little cute puppies, not black dogs or other strays. Not sure how the adoption process goes, so I won't comment on that.
I rescued a little Doberman pup and named her Athena, sweet girl, anyways I already have a bloodhound that is my service animal and as much as I loved Athena she and Rusty became quite a bit to handle (I live alone). After doing my research on no kill animal shelters this one was close and looked like a small caring business. Well it turns out they were, they had plenty of area and room to play for the animals and weren’t hesitant as to why I was surrendering a puppy. I recommend taking any animals you come across in tyler to them they really seemed eager to please. There was a bigger gentleman I forget his name, he held on to Athena during her whole check up and she just loved every bit of his attention!! I really appreciate their help and I feel like my donation went to a good place!!
This place is so wonderful and they really do put the animals first. I can not tell you how grateful I am for all that they do. They took a completely tragic day for my family and turned it into a beautiful dream. Terry you are my family's angel and we appreciate everything you did for us. I will never forget it and I will donate to your beautiful loving establishment always.
Please adopt, don't shop. Just don't adopt from here - unless you want to deal with these folks. If you do decide to come, that's on you, just bring your 3 packs of cigarettes to rude guy...I'm sure he'd appreciate the welcome gift.
So I went last week to find me a fur baby and I found one that was perfect for me bc I'm paralyzed and the dog loved sitting in my lap riding around with me. I fell in love with her. Me and my fiance filled out all the paperwork and was told we have to wait 72 hours since she just got there. So the day to get her finally comes and the very rude and disrespectful man said she was being adopted as we speak to someone else. He got my hopes up and completely sold her right out from under us. I would not recommend this place to anybody ever. The guy was very out of line saying they sold her to the most qualified like something is wrong with us. Very very unhappy with this place. He said he couldn't see our big privacy fence on google map so he was going to come look at it clearly with no intentions of doing so.
Well, well, well....like most of these reviews say - this place is an absolute joke. My husband and I were set on adopting this little pup named Prince. So I called this morning - right at 10 when they opened. I talked to the same rude guy that everyone is referring to - accept he played up a fantastic front. He said "well ma'am, do you have a computer in front of you? Please fill out an application for Prince - and we can get back to you. I do have 2 applications already but that doesn't mean ANYTHING." I said great - so I filled out the app, and called him back around noon - to tell him I'd be there first thing in the morning with cash in hand to adopt Prince. Well he said it didn't work like that - and that the dog goes to the best qualified home. I told him my husband was a veteran - and this pup would be a companion - only for him to go "veteran, like PTSD???" No you f**king moron. No...like veteran that served so you can have the freedom to be a complete prick. I told him my husband would be by later today to at least meet Prince .. he said cool, except he couldn't do ANYTHING with Prince until his 72-hour hold was up. Meaning he wasn't up for adoption until tomorrow. So my husband gets there....you keeping up?...only for rude guy to tell him, oh well you can't see Prince because he's not here. My husband asked why...only for rude guy to say well - he was sent home this morning with a lady that adopted from there before and they got along fine so they let him go. WHAT THE HELL? He then proceeded to say that he had 10 applications for Prince (remember the 2 from earlier?) and that we were at the bottom of his list anyway to adopt Prince because we were last to turn in our application (remember when he said apps didn't mean anything?). WE WILL NEVER recommend anyone to adopt from these people. We have a wonderful home with over an acre of land any pup would love to run through. It's a shame that service like this is what mans this place. There are plenty of other places to choose from, but these people aren't looking to serve their local families.
