We were there 1 1/2 hours looking at flooring and not once did anyone ask.if they could help us although they walked past is several times. Finally we asked for help when we had a better idea of what we wanted. A guy named Brian helped us. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If it wasn't for him, it would be 1 ☆. Thank you Brian for helping us and answering all our questions.
I went to Lowe's within few weeks of moving here, just moving into older home needed some light bulbs, didn't realize they were candelabra style, took back right away (30 miles) gave me store credit card. They wanted my drivers license # to get it. When I gave my store credit today only 8.00 they refused it as I now have TX license, I had NV I would have to know my previous DL number for them to input it, she asked me if I still it, said no they take it when they give you new license. I asked for a manager, she told me I couldn't use it unless I knew my previous license, told her that is crazy can I give,2 other firms of ID, told NO have to know last DL #. I've managed 8 retail stores and NEVER refused taking a store credit under any circumstances. Very poor and unfair business practices. Definitely NOT customer service. Won't return.
This is a rating based on a specific visit. I usually love going to Lowe's because the people are so awesome but today it felt like no one wanted to help me, like I was a waste of time. They wernt even nice in passing me off, and made me feel like an inconvenience. A horrible experience. My advice to all the employees who were a part of this experience today- rather it's your department or not, take the time to be nice to people and show them you value their business. Rather its your department or not, your a brand ambassador, remember that!
I can not in good conscious buy anything from this store. It's well known how poorly they treat their employees. Now I've seen it for myself.
After I verified online with corporate that Lowe's Tyler, Tx. Would install a storm door on a mobile home. I dove to Lowe's searched 35 minutes to get a sales person in widows & doors department on Sunday afternoon only to have him tell me that they do not install storm doors on mobile homes because it's corporate policy. He said Lowe's doesn't do work on mobile homes..other than a storm door, I'm also needing two decks and awning and a wheelchair ramp built on my mobile home. I'm only one customer , but that's about $25,000.00 of work I'm having done to my MOBILE HOME that Lowe's will not be doing because it's corporate policy... I'm guessing y'all have enough business that you need the thousands of mobile home owners in Texas business.
I've been a business person for many years, serving the administrative offices of varied businesses. I've noticed that if left unchecked, management and a select number of employees have a tendency to bully/harass/threaten the the most challenged of the employees, ie, those that become ill or single parents, etc. This company allows that. It appears they even condone it. The rules for one employee, does not necessarily apply to another.
