The new manager of parts is no where near as friendly and helpful as the last manager. He doesn't know what he's doing and doesn't even greet the customers when they walk thru the door. He's rude and shouldn't be in a customer service position if he can't treat people with courtesy and respect.
Order tires online should be mounted at the local store. It took them 3 hours to mount and balance 4 tires. Tires were not balanced correctly so came back a few weeks later and they said they were too busy to get me in today. What customer service!
Pep boys usually have the parts you need at fair prices. Also rewards are nice.. Not familiar with their service department..
It was my first time visiting Pep Boys Auto and for sure my last with no recommendations,I made an appointment online 24 hours before I was suppose to arrive. I arrived 15 mins early on the following day,it was just an hour after they opened, so I felt as though this was going to be a get in and get it done type of service especially since they only had two customers ahead of me one was getting a tire rotation the other customer mentioned about an oil change that they owed him so I figured that I was good to go since I only needed two rear tires put on,that's it,well I was so wrong about the get in and get it done, it took them 2 hours and I was disappointed because no one felt like the cared about giving good customer service. It takes nothing to greet a customer with a good attitudeor at least an update on the service that they are getting. PEPBOYS NEED A MAKEOVER starting with employees and then a nicer waiting area with better chairs since you spend most of your time waiting anyway.The lady at the counter was very friendly and I really appreciated the apology that she gave for the service taking so long. I could tell she didn't like her job but it pays her bills so I guess she makes the best out of it. Overall something good came out of the long wait,my new tires rides nice on the highway!
Pretty great store, actually. One of the only auto parts store in Tyler that keeps performance parts in store. Prices are usually the same as everyone else, and they stock the same amount of standard parts.
However, sometimes it can be hard to find an employee and check out.
