I can't say enough good things about the staff at the Courtyard in Tyler. Annette is an amazing event manager and she anticipated my every need. I wish I had Annette to help me with every meeting! Sarah does a terrific job with the Bistro and the food for our meeting was really good. Chelsea was great at reception and was helpful no matter what I needed. Davarious was great at facilities management and an all around good guy. Kudos to the Courtyard staff! They are well organized, efficient, proud of their property and very customer friendly.
In personal & business travel, I've never been disappointed with a Courtyard by Marriott. The young lady at the reception desk was very professional and courteous and cheerful as well. Never a bad experience. Very clean updated rooms, etc.
Stayed on the 4th floor so the wifi didn't reach, which is understandable. But the Ethernet cable was broken, wouldn't lock into the laptop, and was hanging apart with wires exposed. The TV is obscured by the dresser so you can't see the whole screen from the bed. The shower curtain was stained, tile in the bathroom was cracked, and the handle on the side of the tub was falling apart. When I took a shower I had a choice between cool trickle, or full blast scalding hot water. Any attempt to sleep was made miserable by the blankets being too heavy for the 68 degrees that the thermostat prevented you from going under, and the sheets being too light for it. The pillows we're too thin and left me with neck pain the following morning. Then I go down to breakfast to learn there isn't a complimentary breakfast buffet, only a Starbucks selling breakfast. I'm really not sure how this place carries the Marriott name, and I will not be returning. Stay at the Residence Inn across the street.
Extremely pleasant experience. People are nice. Really small mini fridge. Strong plumbing for great showers.
I visited courtyard by Marriott for my cusions wedding and it was amazing. everybody had an awesome time. The help was also great.
