I come to Tyler for work and this was a perfect choice. The room was clean, the bed was sooo comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! There was a variety of choices depending on your palette. Everyone was friendly all the way from the desk clerk to the housekeeping staff. They all made eye contact and made a point to say hello. I would definitely recommend this location!
I believe this used to be the Rest Inn. It just has a few new things slapped on it, but the wear and tear is evident everywhere. They do have some real nice shades that make the room dark, but the doors have large gaps under them, so you still get light pollution. Staff is friendly, area lacks a lot of things like decent restaurants and sidewalks.
I am curious to see if they chose to over bill anyone outside the wedding party who stayed that weekend.

We booked our room for 2 nights at one rate and was billed at another rate. We were told that our reservations rate was only an estimate and Holiday Inn can charge us at whatever rate they choose to at checkout.
