Wonderful hosts, very hospitable and check in was easy. Home away from home. Barbara cooked a scrumptious breakfast. Great place to stay when going to canton. I recommend starting here.

The Wife and myself, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Woldert-Spence Manor. The quiet atmosphere and the moss covered gardens were very enjoyable and tranquil. We enjoyed the history of the home and it's previous owners. This is a great place to stay if you are interested in a day trip to Tyler, Texas. The current inn keeper who works there knows how to make an amazing breakfast. If your lucky, you'll get to try some of her home-made buttermilk syrup, on Blueberry sprinkled pancakes.
My husband and I stayed here for a night to get away from Dallas. The house was beautiful and had alot of history. Our room was on the 2nd floor and had original hardwood floors, tv, our own bathroom, and antique furnishings...very neat. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable. Check in was very easy. The breakfast was wonderful since it's included in the stay and was surprisingly more food than we could handle, it was very delicious. There wasn't much in walking distance (restaurants, stores, shops)even driving to the main square we had about 4 restaurant options for dinner which ended up being Mexican food and it was good. Other than that it was a very relaxing stay.
We stayed here 2 nights in the William Woldert room. It was an absolutely incredible experience. The innkeeper, Barbara is very personable and a very skilled chef! She made us a fabulous quiche the first morning and a delicious oven baked omelet the next morning. Both were beautifully presented and had a yogurt and fruit parfait to start. The home is equipt with games, outside sitting spaces, wifi, cable... But our very favorite part was our morning conversations with Barbara over breakfast and coffee. This B&B alone is a great reason to visit Tyler, TX. Thank you!
